Reservations-  may be made by telephoning the Southwest Nordic Center at (575) 758-4761. Full payment is due at the time of the reservation. SNC begins taking winter reservations on August 1 at 8AM. Availability is on a first come basis.

Cancellations- Refunds are available only for dates which are rebooked. Cancellations made over 31 days prior to tour date may transfer to any available date in the same winter season, for free. .Cancellations made closer to the date may be rebooked during the same season four days in advance of the new nights, for a $25 surcharge. It does not matter why you need to change dates. No dates carry over to other seasons!

Prices and Offerings-

Yurt Rental- This is an unguided option which includes exclusive use of the yurt. This is for persons familiar with the area and/or capable of route finding, avalanche avoidance, and handling of group dynamics.

Cumbres Pass Yurts

$85/night/group, Mon.-Thurs.

$100/night/group, Fri.& Sun

$125/night/group, Sat. night- Saturday nights are reserved with a two night minimum requirement.

Taos Yurt      

$100/night/group, Mon.-Thurs.

$125/night/group, Fri. & Sun.

$145/night/group, Sat.- Saturday nights are reserved with a two night minimum requirement.

Guided Tours-

$250/day. The Assisted Tour includes a professional guide for a day. The guide will haul stuff (with a sled if conditions permit), help break trail, route find, help with yurt logistics, offer skiing recommendations customized to your group, and backcountry skills as appropriate. This is the successful yurt adventure regardless of the conditions.

The Guided Tour includes exclusive use of the yurts , a professional guide, and all of your meals. This is your fantasy to imagine and our goal to provide. Whatever your needs SNC can help you design the tour of your dreams. Guides can provide technical assistance with skiing skills, avalanche evaluation, first aid, familiarity with the terrain and skiing options, route finding, pack hauling, and pack supplies. The guides can cook and tend to the yurt necessities. You let us know your desires and we will provide the logistics to make it a reality.
